INGREDIENTS FOR THE MEATBALLS:
Ground beef - 1 lb.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
Egg - 1.(optional)
Ingredients for the curry:
Onion - 1, sliced.
Tomato - 1, sliced.
Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp.
Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp.
Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp.
Ginger - 2 inch piece, grated.
Garlic cloves - 5 to 6 grated.
Green chillies - 5.
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
Olive oil - 2 tbsp.
Curry leaves - 1 sprig.
METHOD:
Mix thoroughly the first 4 ingredients, and shape into small even sized balls. Place the meat balls on baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until well done.
Heat oil and add the sliced onion, curry leaves, salt and saute. Stir in the grated ginger, garlic, sliced tomato, garam masala, green chilies, coriander powder and red chili powder. Add the baked meat balls and mix well. Add some water and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, until the gravy becomes thick.
